FRANCES P. JORDAN
STAUNTON, VA…

Frances Beatrice (Pullin) Jordan, 96, widow of Hartwell C. Jordan, formerly of 641 Churchville Avenue, died Monday, December 19, 2011 at Avante of Waynesboro.

She was born January 11, 1915 in Highland County, a daughter of the late John Wesley and Eunice Beatrice (Hume) Pullin.

Prior to retirement, Mrs. Jordan had worked in the Clerks Office of Highland County and was a homemaker. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She graduated from Dunsmore Business College.

Family members include a son, James William Jordan of Stuarts Draft; a daughter, Shirley Ann Back of Buckeye, WV; a brother, James Pullin of Highland County and Waynesboro; three sisters, Johnnie Elizabeth Rexrode, of Waynesboro, Louise Lockridge of Verona, and Ava Funk of Fishersville; twelve grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Lee Berry; two sisters, Martha Douglas and Laura Rexrode; and a daughter-in-law, Joan Jordan of Fairfax.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, December 23, 2011 in Thornrose Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Henry Funeral Home
